D A heard the bad news

Sorry man    and sorry I wasn't able to help you out on the trailer.  I feel bad about that.   If you just have to ride before you can get your bike fixed, let me know and you can use my 1300.

Hey Kirk.  Dont worry about it!  I got the bike towed back to McKinney yesterday.  Your a good friend and I know you have been there if you could!!!!! O0

The bike didnt get scratched and it wasnt ANOTHER dent in the tank ;D...Right swingarm bearing failed and the swingarm moved about 3/16 to 1/4" to the right so the tire rubbed against the fender.  It was smoking something crazy and wore a grove in the tire about an 1/8" deep at the transition of the sidewall and crown of the tire.  The important thing is we were taking the back streets to Strokers and not on 635!!!

I got the bike on the lift and I am going to order the tire and bearing today and start work Sat.

Thanks to Luke @ DFW Cycle Towing (www.dfwcycletowing.com)

Hey DA you might want to look at Purvis Bearing for your rear bearings. I know they are a bit cheaper than a stealership. www.purvisbearing.com    Hope all goes well!! Take care 8)

I ordered the rear bearing off of  hdlparts.com today. Did you end up finding a good source locally so I can cancel mine before they ship... :)

I seem to be misunderstanding something...was it your rear or the swingarm bearing that went out?

It was the swingarm bearing.

Just about.  I just need to put the wheel and final on.

It took me half the time to put the swingarm on than it did last time (and this time I did it by myself)!

Bike is FINALLY fixed!  And a few new chrome pieces added...Chrome Phat Fork Covers, Chrome Fork Lowers, Chrome Front Wheel and Polished Rotors (front and back).

It was so much easier putting that 240 kit on this time.  It took about 18 hrs total the first time and about 6 hrs this time!

So the only questions is when are we riding? O0
