There'll be 6-7 degignated rides at the BBT this year. The longer rides, 3-4 hrs., will be lead by the Central TX X Rider's. They're already very familiar with the routes, and detours if necessary. What we need help on, are the shorter "loop" routes, that are 1-2 hrs long and less than 80 miles. ie: Willow City Loop, FM1376 to FM473 to Old No.9, and back to the Campground. These shorter routes will be ridden more often, due to the fact that they're quicker, and 3-4 different routes can be ridden easily in 1 day, instead of taking 1 long ride. I'm looking for member's that have been to the BBT several times, and have a working knowledge of the area. The rides are simple, minimal turns, and good signs/landmarks. I have maps for reference. By keeping the groups to a max of 8 riders, if 50% of the people want to see Willow City Loop in a group ride, we'll have to take that ride 6 times to accomodate everyone.

Tailgunners are needed to monitor the group, know the route in case of a split-up, and assist someone if they cannot complete the ride, mech.problems, etc.

On Friday morning @ 8:15am, I've scheduled a Ride Captains meeting. We'll be discussing routes, times, assigning rides, safety, etc. This meeting is open to all members. The more leaders we have, the less duties for all. There's alot of you guys in Houston and DFW, that qualify, so please step up to the plate.
Please your handle, and when you'll be arriving, so I can keep a list.

Dallas can read a map and point me in the right direction if you still need some peeps to lead or bring up the rear. I have only ridden most of the roads once - but I ain't scared if the people following me aren't.
