A song...for anyone interested...
« on: December 19, 2006, 06:35:42 PM »

I'm recording a music cd here in houston. After Dave's nice words a while back,  a few of you all requested a copy of the first five songs and said some nice things. I have recorded, mixed and mastered a sixth song which I think is the best of the lot. I was gonna try to dig out everyone's email that requested the first five and send an mp3 to see what some of yall thought of the new one.

Decided it would be easier post this.  If anyone is interested in an mp3 of "What about now till then" please post your email address and I'll send one along. If any of you consider this shameless self promotion, I'm good with that, too.

The Song is about....

It is told from the point of view of an agnostic (not an atheist) who finds himself in an emergency room at a hospital with a loved one who is a devout Christian and whose life is at risk due to the onset of pulmonary embolisms.

A doctor informs the agnostic that his loved one should be fine when blood thinners take effect. The agnostic asked when that will be. The doctor responds "about an hour." The agnostic asks, "What about now till then?"
The doctor responds that the loved one is at risk of dieing. The Agnostic breaks down and addresses Jesus Christ and pleads for his loved one's life.

Thanks

the songs are secular. So is the songwriter.

but it is a true story. When the agnostic was faced with the possible death of his loved one, he felt complete powerlessness. In desperation his emotions searched for something to hold on to. The only thing available to him was his loved one's God...because he had none. He did not convert to Christianity but..for a moment... pleaded with the only entity anywhere in his conciousness that might restore his loved one.

Thanks for asking the question.

I bought an iPod Shuffle..........holds up to 240 songs.

The 1st songs I downloaded are Martin's.......I really enjoy them. I like I Won't Settle the best. I listen to the CD every other night. Can't wait to hear the latest.
