1939 Model B John Deere Tractor
« on: September 12, 2006, 12:00:15 PM »

Last year my Dad passed away and my Mom has had two tractors that have been setting in a covered shed since last October and she does not need them. My Dad had always wanted a Old Tractor and found this man that restored old tractors and had this 39 John Deere for sale. I can't remember for sure but have paperwork on it where the tractor came from, either Idaho or Ohio someplace like that. It has been fully restored!! I have pictures if intrested in it. We are asking $3,200.00 firm for it!!

The other tractor is a 1998 Model 970 John Deere Tractor. Only has 24 hours on it w/ a 4ft Bush Hog, Rear end Scoop and 5 1/2 Blade.  $12,500.00 OBO    If intrested feel free to e mail me and give you a phone number if you want more info.

I used to use one of those on the farm to power the auger for the corn dryer.  Almost killed my boss cause the clutch was outta wack and when I pulled on the flywheel brake the clutch reingaged.  Hand start?  I also drove a '36 JD "G" model.  Biggest two cyl they made.  Accidentially stuck it in third and engaged the clutch.  Pulled the front wheels off the ground (at idle) and knocked the gas cap off.  Those were fun tractors!  I want one of thase engines for a bike  :D

Hope it goes to a good home!

I'd take it, but the alamony pmts would be too much if my wife opened the garage door and found that in there :o

Hmmm, how tall is the exhaust stack? :)

Well it is like this on the Tractor!! I would probably keep the tractor myself if I had a place to store it in and not be in the way.( I would have to get rid of some of my toys) ;D It is just setting at my Mom's house in one of there garages and not being used. I hate to have something and not enjoy it or use it and my Mom is the same way. You have to very good strength to start the Tractor and I really don't see my Mom doing that and also the tractor was my Dads toy you might say and he took care of it!! In the last part of my Dad's life he always wanted something and had the money to get it and he would. I would like the tractor to go to someone that would baby it as much as my Dad did you might say. I have other things of my Dads that I will treasure without keeping the 39 JD.
