Okay, so Southern Texas is having it's first winter season down around these parts in quite some time as I understand it. Now I for one am enjoying the cooler weather. And it's partly because around this time of year I am a big fan of eating chili. In fact I make a pretty mean northern chili from time to time. However, I want to try this Texas style of chili with all the beef instead of hamburger and beans, Texans are always raving about. Yet everywhere I've gone for lunch and such which offers a chili on their menu, is just more of the same ground hamburger!?Where the hell is this Texas chili with BEEF! Could it be that Houston isn't really a part of Texas??
I like chili over rice. I've been in Texas most of my life and can't tell you where to go to get the mythical "Texas Chili". I think it is mostly homade. By the way YOU DON"T PUT BEANS IN CHILI !

Although, it would be a pretty good ride for you to come over here and get it.
I remember being told once that Texas chili was made with chopped beef steak instead of ground hamburger. Was I told wrong?
