Take a week off!
« on: April 04, 2009, 07:47:43 AM »

My company notified everyone yesterday that each of us needed to take a week off, w/o pay, between now and the end of September. Sounds like time to get the Feejer on the highway, huh?

My week out starts April 17th and it's for the week after and the week after and the week after and so on. Get my walking papers that is after 13 years.

Will the last productive person leaving America please turn out the lights?

 Oh wait …

THERE WON’T BE ANY LIGHTS ON BECAUSE THE BILL COULDN’T BE PAID!!

Sorry to hear that, Hooter. Like I have been saying for years, we are all just independent subcontractors.... Maybe we need to saddle up?

Best of luck hooter, I'm sure we will be seeing more and more of this, in the near future.
The company I work for right now wants me to start training folks in India, to do my job, the Buck Rogers of it I guess I have to do it to get as much out of them as possible.
I've done this before with a major computer company, and yep Pogogolf Deja vu.

Good thing is the beat goes on  ;D I have a motorcycle and I know how to siphon gas if it comes to it.  :ohwow:

Thanks for everybody's concern and the thoughts are deeply appreciated. Oh sure I feel bad and don't really want this to happen, as do or did, the mulitudes of other people out there that have been crunched by this economy. I work in a steel mill producing    structural I beams for big construction projects and like everybody else's job that is centered especially on rhe economic situation is at risk also. I feel for the younger families that have several kids, big mortgages, etc. trying to make ends meet right now and for some odd reason my thoughts and prayers are for them at the moment. We, Susie and I, can always make ends meet some how and will again. Thanks everybody.  :flag:

Like gumbo, I've got an Oklahoma gas credit card too!!!
