I did not see the event. But it sounds like Guardrail is a good fit.  Ride safe ride long

If you don't love what you're doing, then don't do it.
Your chances of success are directly proportional to the degree of pleasure you derive from what you do.

Glad you're OK Baron. Hope nothing too serious for you or your bike.

Nice turn-out for this lunch, huh ?! Wish there was more time to get to know everyone.

A group of us who live in sw Houston area had a fun ride back. LoneWolfe got to explore a porta-pottie. Also, our friend with the bad battery's luck ran out - the bike died on Hwy 36. Thanks to Hoss for helping out with that one.

Need to do these regional meets more often.....

I saw the post on the Members Forum and suggested Sparky. Didn't know it was suggested here.

for those who don't know, on the ride out of Houston I kissed a guardrail in a turn on 59. no major damage to the bike and none to me so that's the best part. I didn't even look until we got to Richmond but my footboard took the brunt of it. Anyway, everyone behind me said all they saw was sparks and couldn't believe i didn't stop.

so we have several votes for Guardrail, and only one for Sparky. I kinda like Guardrail myself.

Sparky, Guardrail...hmm!  How about "Brownspot?"  :ohwow:  Well, at least I thought it was funny!  Glad you made the ride safely.
Nice to finally put a name with a face for many of you & great to see some missed friends (VTreX, BIGA & RICKM).  Totally enjoyed the ride despite the frigid temps and it was worth getting sick for  :pot:.   Hope to see & ride with everyone again real soon.  Thanks to all for getting this together.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally wornout, shouting..."What a Ride!"

FUN DAY!

The better-half just can't seem to understand how I could possibly have enjoyed being out in the cold for over 12 hours. Great bikes, great ride, warm people, warm cloths. What else can I tell her?

Wasn't there, but it sure sounds like Mr. Sparky-Rail was lucky to have Lucky as his riding pardner. (Did I make a pun?)

David is the one to thank for helping get Justin's Shadow home. All I did was promise the use of Daivd's truck. for a dead battery rescue. (Friends are like that, yea they are.)

Caught up to David at the gas pumps, FM 2218 and Hwy 59, then we hot-footed it to Mo. City for the truck. However, I did enjoy riding back out to Needville in a pickup with the heater cranked all the way up!

Can somebody please let us in of "KEBS driving techniques"? :stickpoke:

My thanks to you both for your assistance in helping out Justin. I'll tell you, riding two up in that wind was tricky at times when it crossed us as hard as it did.

I am sorry that I missed the ride and meeting everyone.  :( I am not sorry that I missed the cold.  ;D

My Wife and I watch the grandkids on Saturdays when mom and dad are both working.  She was sick this weekend so I had to stay and be Papa.

Hope to make the next one.
