I believe the preliminary dates are July 4th - July 6th.  I'll update once I hear confirmations.

That "brisk walk" was a 2 mile hike in the mountains to Alberta Falls and then to Bear Lake.  It was about 95 degrees that day, and itwas not as easy as expected.

no joe tried to kill us old fat flatlanders, for some reason it didn't bother me that much, but my wife and a couple of others were sucking wind,  ;D ;D ;) with the uphill hike, out of shape and 12,000 elevation, made it hard to breath :-\ :P

EVERYONE made it to Alberta Falls.  What a neat place!!!!!  NEXT year, I may do a hike to Mills Lake, just up the trail from Alberta Falls.  Instead of going to different places in one day, we will just go to one place.  Make a day of it.  Total distance there and back about 4 miles.  Start at Bear Lake, hike DOWNHILL to the Alberta trail then up and around Alberta Falls.  We can pack in our Sub sandwich and stuff.  What do ya think?  Cathy, Ben's wife thought that would be a neat thing to do.  I like the idea.  Joe

Well.................let's not be "racists".  It's not their fault they ain't from 'round here.  But it sounds acceptable to me.  What do ya think about camping a few nights at RMNP the week after?  The week before?  Good campsites for tents and RV's.  BUT reservations have to made early as it is "busy" then.

That's the first time I've seen that.  Pretty neat and brings back a lot of good memories.  I'm ready to go back!
