Most illegals had good jobs in Mexico , but heard that stupid Americans would school their children ,give them free medical care and welfare.I wouldnt stay in m\Mexico either.....LOL

I'm afraid I must respectfully disagree. Mexico is a country where about 99% people of the people live in the peasant class. There is a one percent (that may be slightly higher these days)  overlord class ("the 13 families") that has all the wealth and lives like royals with little if any regard for the rest.  Fox, to his credit, began his administration with the intent of building a middle class, but corruption, resistance by the ruling class, a burgeoning population and the "culture" are making that pretty much impossible.

I believe that Fox advocates illegal immigration to this country to keep many of these people from rioting in Mexico, because the prospects for a good life are so lousy there.

I feel for them, but turning over border states to them is not a responsibility that we have.

this topic just pushed a hot button for me. I try to employ legal people every day. Some companies in this counrtry do not want to pay a descent price for laborers. Our company takes out all taxes, child support and we even pay for worers comp. which is not required in Texas. After all that some companies want a rate of $9.50 and hour! That is just a crock! How much can you pay a person after all taxes and have to pay workers comp to protect the worker!

Most illegals make from $7.00 - $9.00 an hour so companies actually save money using them instead of us. If a worker get hurt to bad and they do not have to pay taxes. A win for the company and the worker.

Did anyone see the Day laborer bit tonight on 13? I guess they thought they were going to find something big. He was paid $40 CASH for his first job (4 hrs work) and $8.00 an hour for the second job he did for
8 hrs.
