Gulf Coast Residence - Get Ready for Harvey
« on: August 23, 2017, 11:26:39 AM »

Already a tropical depression with max sustained winds of 35 MPH, Harvey is likely to become a tropical storm and possibly a hurricane with landfall predicted late Friday.  Make sure you don't get caught off guard on this one!!  If the path continues Galveston and Houston are on the dirty side and rains are predicted to continue through Monday and possibly into Tuesday.  There will be flooding and possibly lots of it...remember Alicia?  This one has very similar characteristics.

Be sure to make that PVC pipe way up high.  Like a good 16' just for good measure.

last years trip to the Smokey's  the harley in our group had it's water pump go out.   we called the nearest shop, and they said go ahead and ride it in, it would be fine.  quickest way there was to ride the dragon.

Good idea.  I really hope they don't have to deal with traffic.  Save the photos!!!

This one could rival T.S. Allison, if it lingers for how long they're saying it can.

The news said it could reach category 4 before landfall.  This means it will be one of the most powerful hurricanes to hit the Texas coast plus one of the worst lingering tropical depressions after.  Double whammy if I ever saw one.  Glad I went to the liquor store yesterday.   :c

The lines at specs were longer than the lines at the gas station

This is true.  I got all my liquor and I had 35 gallons of water dropped off from sparklets.  Got food that doesn't rot and I got food that does rot but hopefully it doesn't come to that.
