If you think you're stopping
« on: April 24, 2016, 02:26:20 PM »

If you think you're stopping properly you just may be use to it being that way :redcard:
Replaced front brakes and bled breaks today and removed all the brown and milky stuff, what a freaking difference  :bikerider:
It's not a bad job at all, just takes a little time that could save your life  :ohwow:
Now I am truly ready for BBT all maintenance up to date just like new baby. ;D

I got one of them things you hook up to the caliper and a compressor and it sucks the fluid out of the lines.  Pretty nifty, I flush brake fluid each year now.

Check the clutch fluid also if you have an 1800 (or anything with a hydraulic clutch).  I recall the the clutch fluid used to nasty up quicker than the brake fluid.  When it turns brown it's time to change it.

Yeah, so right after we figure out whether the rectifier or the alternator on Connie's bike is bad and replace it, I need to put my bike on the stand and clean out my hydraulics. There's nothing wrong with them but I like them to stay that way.

And yeah, the battery we bought for Connie's bike on Wednesday is dead this afternoon.

I don't care what other people think. They don't do it very often!
Of Course it's dirty. It's hard to clean when the tires keep moving.
