My buddy just bought a used low mileage Ultra Glide. Its a 2014 with less than 20k on the clock. He doesn't know the history on it so we are guessing at what it could be. It has Vance and Hines Power Duals and Rinehart mufflers. We have loaded a Stage 1 tune from the Harley Screaming Eagle Tuner. The bike is rough at idle and definitely doesn't have the power it should. My 2014 ran much stronger that this one. Also, at highway speeds it has an intermittent miss. From the time it's started until you shut it down there is a strong fuel smell coming from the exhaust.
Loading a new fuel map didn't change anything.
He put a brand new air filter on it, no change.
Checked plugs and they look ok.
The last one makes me thing it may be an injector issue. I think the guy rode it a while and then stuck it in a garage until he took it to Harley to trade or just sell. If this was a problem for a long time I think the plugs would have shown some signs.
