My Dad Bought a MOTO Guzzi
« on: May 21, 2008, 02:21:51 AM »

My dad bought a Moto Guzzi 1100 California Model :(. He let me ride let to the gas station 8), I didn't like the shifter :(, the foot brake :( or the way I felt on the bike :(. Seemed like my knees were in my chest >:(, also the power was far from my VTX. My "X" has a LOT MORE power :o and she is mostly stock. O0.  To tell you the truth, I am a little worried about him, He is 68 y.o. and doesn't move as well as he used to. He seemed to have a little trouble getting a leg over her. I will say the Guzzi is much lighter than my "X", funny though, he thought the Guzzi was heavy.. ;D  I wanted to tell him I thought he was a little old for a bike, but I didn't think he would listen, He did ride a LONG time ago, and he did a gree to go to a motorcycle riding course to improve his long rusted skills.. I am not sure it's a good idea for him though, the Guzzi takes ALOT of getting used to.. When I rode it, I had to look for the foot brake, and the front brake is not interlinked, so it doesn't stop like my "X" either. When he saw my "X" for the first time, he said "What you can't afford a REAL motorcycle" I told him I have left HOGS in my dust, and my "X" is more bike than he ever rode..  ;D
