Gumbo -- have you noticed when somebody turns 50, in some cases, how cocky and disrespectful of their elders they become? Is it because they made 50 that they feel invincible and bulletproof or is it just the Black jacket Harley rider syndrome?  :hmm:

Best I got was going down. 52 mpg.
Was hitting a head wind going home and decreased mpg down to 46.

Last year in  Oct traveling to NM I got right at 53mpg doing 75 +mph.

52 is pretty amazing for an FB6.  Aren't those usually around 35?

With my 1800 I noticed that my mileage went downhill fast once I passed 3000 RPM.  I have gotten mid fifties many times on road trips when I kept it at 60-65, the roads were flat, and I wasn't fighting wind.

It won't change much.  Only time I've ever known of a huge decrease in fuel is when the bike is a trike or towing a trailer.  When I went on my long moto trip I still got like  43-46 mpg and that was two up and loaded with luggage.

i get 3 mpg less than i used to get w the two wheel goldwing down to 33.7 from 36.4

When I had and Ultra Classic I would get mid 40's mpg  but riding with my VTX buddies I would get mid to high 30's.  I guess the difference is riding 105 mph trying to catch up to the VTX 135 mph  at times will use a lot of gas.
