Wayne and I left last Sunday and went to Texas A&M. We were students in the Fire Training School they have there on campus. That was my first time to TX A&M and I must say I was very impressed. The training fire field has over 100 different training scenarios. It is an excellent place to go and learn. Wayne was in the Firefighter Phase II class and I was in Driver/Pump Operator class. He is comfortable with being on the front line....I prefer to be at the other end making sure he has all the water and supplies he needs to put the fire out. It was very hot this past week and when you add the heat from fire fighting, it was on the verge of dangerous. I think we drank more water this past week then we have in a year, LOL. One of the following pictures is of me on an industrial sized water nozzle...it shoots out 6000 gpm. It was pretty damn cool to get to handle that much power. One of the other pics is of Wayne's name tag which hangs on his helmet. He was in a structure fire that had temps of around 800 degrees. The flat stiff name tags is now warped.
