How can you tell if a tree has been poisoned? >:(
It's in the back yard of the guy that asked the question. ???

usualy the bark starts to deteriorate...itll grow some weird things on it too... ..flaking and splitting is another thing to look for. Call a tree guy and have em take a look...

Different trees are susceptible to different diseases.
A few years back the dogwoods were dieing from the top down. Some died and some are recovering.
Pines can get hit by pine beetles but that usually happens thick stands of pines where they can easily get from tree to tree.
In 04, I left for Co. with a 70 ft tall beautiful White-oak in my front yard. When I got home a week later, every leaf on the tree was dead. Within a month, the bark was falling off. Made me sick.
I lost a peach tree this year and I think it's because I treated it with enzymes for citrus trees. Peaches are not considered citrus. Blew my theory that all fruit was citrus. Big dummy.
What kind of tree is it? And what makes you think someone would want to poison it? You haven't been peeing on it in a drunken stupor have you? ;D
I personally don't like Sweet-gum Trees, because the balls fall on my bike and scratch the paint. I knew I could make this motorcycle related. O0

I'm guessing he's just trying to cover his tracks...I'm also guessing he didn't get any takers when he asked for help getting rid of a tree or 2 in a recent "other" thread post; ergo, change the wording to "Do you think could tell if I poisoned a tree?" ;) :D ;D O0
