Title: Ride to check out Jimmy's on the Pier August 06 (Sunday)
Post by: Rocket67 on July 26, 2017, 12:10:03 PM: I am riding out to Jimmy's on the Pier on Sunday August 6th. I am going to be at the Shell station on Huffsmith and FM 2978 @7AM. I'll be watching the weather, as of now it looks like I'll be dodging rain but if it's spotty I will just try to ride around it. If it is too bad I'll cancel.

Post by: Rocket67 on August 07, 2017, 08:26:26 AM: Ride up was awesome. Temps were right and it was cloudy so not too hot. After we ate we went to the strand right before the hard rain started. A couple of beers later we headed back and didn't get any rain at all, just breeze and clouds. Total mileage for me was around 330 miles, not a bad day.

I wish I had more vacation so I could take rides like this and still have time left for the wife. She want's to go on vacation with me once in a while.

Post by: Rocket67 on August 15, 2017, 09:31:46 AM: The ride to Jimmy's was nice but the food was just ok. I had the fish and it was dry plus the "sauce" on it was very sparse which didn't help. I would recommend finding a place with better food and the seating (and service) is limited.
