Houston and CenTex Peeps, the Two Wheeled Texans Pie Run for this month is (roughly) halfway between Houston and Austin. It must be halfway; that's where the MS150 camps every year... Who's in?

I can tell you if you set a date but this is definitely one I want to do. The pie around here isn't that good...LOL. :c

I don't know about the rest of CenTex but Lucky and I are busy people. Just got back from three weeks in Florida and Georgia. Heading out to Texas Gulf Coast on Tuesday for a week. Then heading back to Florida to get on the boat and head for the Keys. Be back on or around mid-December. But Saturday, October 29th is open so we've added it to our calendars. :P

Is this a ride to Murphys or a ride from Murphys? Or, is this just a place where everyone meets and eats?

I think these are more like Meet 'n Greets, although we could probably ride there together as a group from Houston...if we can scrounge up some riders.

Yes, you should respond on the TWT thread. It helps the restaurant owner know what to expect. I'll try to throw together some of my ol' Centex buds, the ones that still ride anyway...

MRVTX, sorry I don't know your name, I get to have a navigator with me, but is there any spot/time set up for a group ride up there or are we free-balling? Thanks Pat(paffap)

Pat, I'm Jason. I've been checking out the map to find a scenic route, but there's not much to look at out that way. I was thinking about just taking 159 out from 290, through Bellville. We can meet out on 290 at one of several places. The Love's Travel Stop at 2920, or further down 290 at Bu-cee's...whatever is easier for everyone. It'll take roughly two hours to get to Murphy's, as long as we don't need to stop. Gas should be good for all bikes, since it's roughly 100 miles one-way.
Thoughts anyone?

Buc-ees on 290 and Fm 362 is a good place to meet , plenty of room to park get gas , or what ever

That sounds good. From there, it's only about 82 miles/1.5 hours away. Over on the TWT forum, they said that another group is supposed to be at the restaurant as well, so they want us there and ready to eat by 11am. If we leave Buc-ees by 9am, we should be good for an early arrival.

Okay, okay, throw the pies at me, but I'm out. Jason can vouch for me, the new floor going in my house was supposed to be done today, but scraping the old wood floor out took a day longer than expected, so they'll be back all day tomorrow. Mama's working, so I gotta stay home.
Have fun, and keep an eye on the TWT board, as the pie runs are monthly.
