If the VTX takes a H9/H11 type bulb you can just get an LED bulb. They have them now that don't need the fan but you may need to get one that has a voltage thingy to keep your computer from flaking out. I have Sirrus LED bulbs in my headlight and the night vision is about 5x better than stock. I have no problems at night and that is only running the main light. When I have both on...it's pretty bright.
