OK, it's been a year since anyone has posted anything about a get together for this area. Who's up for one?? I can do Saturday evenings just need some advance notice so I can make plans cause I would have to ride down to the Austin area, about an hours ride!!!!

Although the weekend of the 11th and 12th is out for us, how about something on the west side of Austin? Say around the 620/2222 intersection? It's about an hour and fifteen for us to that point.

That wouldn't be a problem for me just wondering what is out around that area that we could meet at? It would be about 1-1 1/2 hours for me depending on traffic.
My next available Saturday would be on 7/25. We could meet for lunch & maybe do a short ride. Just throwing this out there!! Let's here some ideas!!!!!!

So far I have myself (and maybe a couple of friends), xcaliber, Lucky & Wayne, and possibly Bobcat Biker. Anyone else want to throw your name in here? The more the better. I know we have more Xriders in this area then this!!!!

Actually...I saw a segment on PBS this weekend on BBQ in Lockhart...used to eat at Blacks BBQ and Kreutz all the time when I lived down there.
Was thinking of stopping by on my road trip to the Gulf Coast. When the time gets near...I may throw that out for the Austin Group..and meet ya'll there.

I put my vote in for either Boat House Grill or Thundercloud Subs. Boat House looks like it has a wide variety of foods to choose from.
How early can you meet for lunch BobWd? My recommendation since it is so freaking HOT out there is that we meet as early as possible for everyone.

devils backbone we did, must be devil's shortest bone jajaja about 2 min pay attention or you would miss it. now the beer at Blanco brewery was worth the crappy devils bone ride tough:bikerider:

This is upsetting, since I am the one trying to put this together, but I may not be able to make it. My friend, who is a welder, will be free at the end of this week so we are going to work on making my exhaust a dual set up. We will start on it Thursday afternoon so if we can get it finished before Saturday, I should be able to make it. Sorry for any problems this may cause. Y'all go a head & keep this going!!!!

Bob, if you are not able to go then I would rather ride closer to home. Since Xcaliber is the only other one who appears to be showing up, then we could meet maybe in San Marcos and ride out towards Wimberly/Blanco area. I don't mind making up new plans last minute.

Lucky, if that's what you would like to do, go a head. I don't have a problem with it. I have been waiting for my friend to get free for a couple of weeks now. Tried to put this together thinking it was going to be a while bit longer. I am sorry to waste everyone's time like this. Maybe one Saturday in August?

I have been watching this and was hoping it was going to be posted for at least 2 weeks out so could make plans.
So that everyone can schedule there ride time around it just give a little notice then make the date.
Things change and just go with the flow. 8)

We won't start working on my bike until Thursday afternoon. Same thing on Friday. I work till 2:30. I'll try & post something by 5ish Friday, is that good?

Bobcat Biker had shown interest but then changed his mind. I am in Copperas Cove. If you want, you could swing by here & we could ride the rest of the way together. I have invited a few of my friend to tag along but haven't gotten any definite reply yet.

Just talked to The Boathouse Grill & the lady told me that they have a table inside that will seat 6 but we could add a few chairs if needed. They also have a patio area. I will leave Copperas Cove around 9:30 so I should get there before they open at 11:00 and will survey the situation. Right now I have 5 people committed with 2 maybes. I'm still waiting for an answer from a couple friends of mine.

I hadn't committed because I do small engine, lawn, and light farm equipment repair and get parts on line. I knew I might be getting a shipment yesterday afternoon for some posthole auger gears and the owner needs it bad. I worked on it till late last night but couldn't finish and will have to do so this morning. So I wanted to do this cause me and Ole Blue need some ride time bad but............. So enjoy your C.F. steak, chocolate shake, and fries there Wayne!! Y'all have fun and be safe.

Frances and myself will not make it hopefully next time. We have a few things to do at the barn to make room for some new horses arriving Monday. Have fun and stay hydrated going to be another hot one but hey it's Texas and summer time.

Connie and I are caging it. Went to check tire pressures and the metal part of Connie's front valve step came out. We pushed it back in and it is holding pressure. Going to have to limp it over to the shop later.

I made it home ok, hit 106 on 610s through the Galleria area coming home saturday. thats not MPH....... >:D
