First Sunday in Dec is the ride to Boys and Girls Country put on by the Highrollers. It is the only toy run I support as I can see the kids get the toys I donate. It is really cool as the kids are sitting on the fence with signs awaiting our arrival.I've been doing this for 7 years. Departs from Honda of Houston and is an escourted ride . Cool stuff

I was thinking a ride to Palo Duro Canyon.....definitely need to keep an eye on the weather though.
Definitely riding on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  Putting the lights up in the morning...riding in the afternoon!

If you are looking for a nice ride in December, then maybe this could be it???

Every year for the past 9 years the wife and I along with a lot of our friends do a ride on the 20th of December from Houston to San Antonio to the Brooke Army Medical Center to help our wounded and their families have a Christmas.

http://www.adoptaheroforchristmas.org/ (http://www.adoptaheroforchristmas.org/)

We depart from Houston in the morning and stop in Lulling at Buc-ee's for fuel, and re-group at the rest area @ mile marker 619 Guadalupe County Safety Rest Area Westbound, we usually get a DPS escort from there to the Hospital. Once there we have lunch, there is a fee to do this and it is usually $20.00 but it all goes to the event to help the wounded. This ride has been put on by a Katy Marine family for the past 9 years, and is a small operation, with most of the donations coming from corporations and close individuals, it is non-profit.

After the event we usually all stay overnight at the Red Roof Inn River Walk with a discounted room rate if you mention that you are with the group (About $55.00 for Sat. Night)

Red Roof Inn
1011 E Houston Street
San Antonio, TX 78205

Call 210-229-9973 during regular business hours, option 2 (group sales), Mandy or Kimberly will answer. Tell them you are with Adopt a Hero for Christmas.

We usually all go out for dinner and drinks afterwards at the River Walk, and we use the trolley and leave our bikes in the secure parking garage at the Red Roof Inn.

Its a great ride and it usually warms the sole for the entire year knowing that we have all done something for our military that has sacrificed for our freedom to ride and live the good life.

If you are interested, feel free to join us, registration is at two locations on the day of the ride in both Houston and the rest area , this is a rain or shine event and we welcome cagers also.

As this is on a military base, concealed carry is not permitted along with other weapons and there are some other requirements such as the use of helmets.

Hope this might be a ride that will interest you, Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas to all!!!!!!!!!!!!
