So, for anyone who is interested....I am going to Gas Monkey Garage in Dallas on Saturday Aug 9th. Me and a couple of friends are meeting at Starbucks at 7:00AM with a departure time of 7:30AM sharp (it's a round trip so punctuality is important). We are heading up on 249 to 1774 to 90 to 39, etc. It's roughly 250 miles up which should put us there about 1:00PM. Since the place closes at 2:00 I think we can do lunch after I get a t-shirt. After lunch, coming back the same way we went up and home before it gets dark.
It's open, just show up. In the interest of "no man left behind" it would be a good plan to contact me before so we know you are coming.
After looking at the time we might move the departure to 6:30 or 7:00AM I would hate to get there and the place be closed.

we went there a few months back and it was closed because they were filming...so we went to Gas Monkey Restaurant and took in some scenery and some live music. FYI...they are very proud of their T-shirts. Very proud...

Their website said that they are filming every day but there is a gift shop open and sometimes the crew comes in and says hi to visitors. After we do that we are going to the Grill for lunch then heading back. Might need a nap first.

I would love to go but as it stands I may have some plans already. if anything changes though, I'll let you know.

It's more about the ride...GMG was just the excuse.

BTW, this didn't happen and I am glad. It was 350F on this weekend. The Earth melted a little.

Just realized that I have been trying to put this ride together for over a year. Hope it's worth the wait. :c

I know. I came up with the idea a while back and just haven't scheduled it. Now, the schedule is set for Sept 19th and we have a group so it's happening.
