I've been looking for ideas for Brock's 30th birthday and he hasn't said too much so maybe we can try a track night since he's been talking about wanting to do that. His birthday is actually on the 11th. We can do dinner before the track or a late dinner after everyone is done. Would anyone be interested?
We'll be on a cruise this coming week and I'll be out of town the next week, but Brock can respond after we get back from the cruise.

I live 2 minutes from Houston Raceway Park. This would be ideal. I haven't met anybody yet (new member), but looking forward to. My wife and I will be there if new members are welcome.

-
dunno what ill be doin on that date. way too far ahead to plan for me. ill let ya know a few hours before.... ;)
-
is this still the plan or are we gonna do something else?

I just checked the website and it looks like we're good to go. For those who are going, try and make it early or you'll be waiting in line. If you get there at 5pm when they open or 5:30, it's pretty much a free for all till 6 or 7. You can run quite a few times. I believe it's $15 to run your car/bike and it's $10 to watch.
If there isn't a big participation we can do something else. I just wanted to get some people together.
-
I'm down for pretty much whatever. don't know if I'm gonna run the duc or just hang around, but I'm pretty sure I'll be there if I don't get arrested for strangling a parent this week.
-
I'll be there, I've got some times to improve on. O0
-
For those of you that want to come and run your bike (or let someone else run it), you'll need:
A full face helmet
A leather jacket
Jeans at a minimum
Boots that fit over your ankle
Leather gloves that fit over the wrist on your jacket
Their a little lenient on the type of gloves and boots sometimes, but I would bring the correct items just in case.

It looks like Steve and Melanie have decided to crash my party tomorrow so I guess we'll be celebrating 2 birthdays while he tries to steal my glory. O0
Everyone should come out and make fun of how old Steve is so I can forget that I'll be officially be an old fart Saturday.
No offense to everyone else older...maybe...
-
Happy Birthday to you both. Can't make it I have a work thing.

Nevermind...S&M (pun intended) aren't going to make it. :'(
Steve was scared that I would whoop up on him on his own bike vs mine. :'(
-
so there are gonna be like five of us, huh?
-
Kinda looks like it. O0

that's cool. I'm pretty beat, all that watching might wear me out fast.....and yes, there's sand in my vagina.
sorry for any ladies that read this.

Now do you feel important? You met a bunch of us at Lone Star! It was good meeting you and Sheila. You should go to the track and meet those guys, they are good folks.

Totally missed this. Of course new members are welcome. :)
Were you the one that I met at Willie's this past Wed?
-
I'm headed down about 4:30 - 5:00 from northside if anyone wants to meet up and ride down together. O0
-
I plan to try and be there at 5 when they open. It looks like we have a cold front coming in. Hopefully later in the night. :-\
-
Brock,
What side of town you coming from?
According to weather.com there's only a 10% chance of rain until 9p then it only goes up to 20.
-
I will ride the monster, that way I don't have to be too embarrassed by getting beaten by other X-riders.
-
and it's official, folks. I'm the slowest guy on the planet.....
at least it didn't start raining until I was about two minutes from home. I got wetter going from the bike to the door than I did riding the last two miles of the trip.
good times. I'm glad I went.
-
Will somebody please fill me in on what went down? Who raced what? Times? Speeds?
Info, people...info
-
I was slow (as in-you could have almost beaten me on your 1300 slow), jeremy was really fast, brock was fast but skidded and bike popped out of 4th gear, mike was there (warrior mike) ummmmm...... it rained when I got home.
is that vague enough for ya?
-
Jeremy had the quickest time. That's Duc's brother in law. He doesn't weigh a whole lot, but he was getting some good runs in. I believe he ran a 12.25 (maybe a 12.23?...don't remember) with a huge air intake and pipes. No power commander.
I ran a 12.49 (top of airbox cut and pipes...no pc either), but every run of the night had a screw up. The 12.49 I had an awesome launch and good run up until 4th when it decided to jump back into 3rd. It did that repeatedly through EVERY run. Regardless I beat my old time by a good amount even screwing up. Next time I hope to get a clean run in.
-
Cool. I wish I could've gone, but we were still moving some big stuff between our homes, and I needed Steve's trailer. Next time, I'm running Lori's bike! If she let's me!
-
Jason Lori Welcome to the Woodlands. hehe
