I'm a new VTX rider and new to the board... Tell me more about the BBT.

It all started back in 2004 a bunch of VTX riders wanted to have a weekend where they could go rideing
and hang out. Being that the Hill country has some of the best riding in the state of Texas that is where
the Blue Bonnet Thunder Rally started. First they had in Luckenbach tx at a small place called the Armadillo Campground and outgrew it. Now we have it in Fredericksburg Tx at the Ladybird Johnson municipal rv park and campground. Has a large pavilion which on Saturday night there is food and a bike show.
The Rally starts on Thursday and ends on Sunday.A meet and greet on Thursday nite. Have guided rides out into the hillcountry. Just a weekend to hangout with other riders.
If you don't like to camp or have a RV there are hotels in Fredericksburg.
I have been to quite a few BBTs and have fun riding and meeting new and old friends. :thumbup:

I am in the NE part of Texas and go down on Thursday. Useally make a enjoyable day ride down
and meet up with some from the Dallas area on the way.
If your a rollercoaster fan you will love the hillcountry! ;D
Also the scenery is a A+!!

Went to college in San Marcos! Love the hill country...back then had a Yamaha 650... Can't wait to get the VTX in the Hills!

Currently there are 22 on the Poll for the BBT and I know of a few more that have not polled-in as of yet. So, still time to Pre-Register thru April 11th.
So, get those registrations mailed-in and let Randy know its in the mail!

Now who can argue with that? I think we're all in debt to murray_61 for stating what needed to be said. I am particularly glad that these lovely trailer queens are here today to hear that speech. Not only was it authentic frontier gibberish, it expressed the courage little seen in this day and age.

Well, let's see......there's probably going to be about 35 prepaid after all is said and done X 40 = $1,400. I figure there's about $1,300 in expenses and that's not counting the meal....wonder where that will come from? HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM! It's gonna take a lot of BATTERIES to keep BBT going after this year.

I'm coming, Got my cuzin from Tyler coming down. He needs a RV spot. How does that work?

When he gets to the park, just tell them he's with the Texas X Riders. He pays for the RV spot at the office. This is the way it's been (I think). They should, I say should, be able to direct him to our area....up top like last year.
