Hey Iceman, Great to hear you finally got around to the important stuff.  Sorry to hear about your Uncle.  Let me know if the ride for Sunday is still on.  I'm getting cabin fever.

I plan on being there Sunday.  Just flew in late last night and back at work this morning at 0630hrs.  Trying to get back into routine.  See everyone soon.

Rode to my off-duty job Sunday and had a little scare.  My throttle stuck open!  Luckily I was on Business 121 and had plenty of open space.  I was able to correct it after about 10-15 seconds.

I just changed out my grips and the throttle grip had to be connected to my push/pull throttle cables.  I think I may have not put enough grease has requested by the Honda manual.  We'll see when I get home today and re-grease it and have a test run.  I opened it up again on the way home and it only stuck open when I went full throttle.  Any thoughts, chime in.

This has never happened to me...how do you "correct it" while going down the road?

If you don't love what you're doing, then don't do it.
Your chances of success are directly proportional to the degree of pleasure you derive from what you do.

Thanks alot!  It's a VTX 1800, it's suppose to be opened up.  Look at who is chiming in....bunch of pots calling the kettle black.  HA ! ! ! !  If I wanted a slow bike I would have bought a different bike in the first place.  I didn't map this one out to ride it like a moped.

I don't think he knows because I've only seen it out of the garage twice in over a year. He had posted something about looking for a painter to do some touch up a few months back and he said that his rear fender got scratched, I'm not buying that, I think he rubbed the paint off polishing and wipeing that thing down.

Hey DFW X-Riders:

My boss rides his bike from North Richland Hills to Carrollton every day, rain or shine.  He just stopped by my office and wanted to know if any of us know of some super warm gauntlet gloves on the market.  He of course has some but is looking for the highest quality and warmth.  Any suggestions, post up.

Check with Hobo and his electric heated gloves. He sez there top notch for cold rides and their real good on cold nights when he's lonely, of coarse he did get the add on vibratory attachment for $14.95 more.  :D :D ;D ;D 8)

This is probably what I'd use if I were in that situation.  Deer hide never gets stiff or brittle after it gets wet.  Gore tex will keep the rain out and 150 gram thinsulate is seriously warm.
