I got a piece of that hail action yesterday.  FedEx delivered my seat yesterday morning so I went for a quickie.  Little did I know that pea-sized hail would be pelting my hands raw within the hour.  Had on my full face and my Rocket jacket, thankfully.  But damn!  That AppleSauce stings!  I was over by Lewisville mall when it hit.  Had to pull into the mattress store next to Souper Salad for a few.

Okay, here is one I didn't plan on experiencing.  I hit a coyote on the bike Sunday night after Tbird and I met for a late snack.  I was travelling down FM544 just north of Carrollton when it darted out from the right bar ditch.  I hit it with the front tire in the left hind quarter.  I slung it into the oncoming lane of traffic and then it ran off.  All I remember hearing was the loud yelp and the claws scraping the pavement as it took off.  Luckily I was slowing down for the light at FM544/Josey Ln. and was only doing about 30mph.  No damage to the bike and thank God I didn't go down.  It could have been worse!

ice...quit picking on those coyotes!! Seriously, glad that you are ok. Those are the type of things that you can never really prepare for.  Good thing for you that it hit the way it did.
