Who's pumped?  This is going to be fun.  Looks like us Houstonites have cooperating weather for the trip out.  Still looking like it's going to be cool and wet but better than hot and sweat.  I don't know if the roads in Bandera are anything like the ones in the Ozarks but they weren't slippery at all when they were wet.  Makes for good riding when the temps are lower...expecially on an air cooled bike....LOL.

The roads aren't too bad when wet.  The gravel on some of the roads is actually what I have seen get riders.  You really have to be careful around those curves with gravel.

That is what got me on an FZ6.  Lucky I had frame sliders and they worked.  Not a scratch on the bike (needed a new slider) but can't say I fared that well.  Had some embedded gravel in my leg.  Yay! So, that being said, didn't know that there was going to be gravel, guess it's not that much or I would have heard about it by now.

Lots of gravel here and there, just treat it like oil and you'll be ok, maybe. People don't talk about gravel so much, it's there and you know it is and adjust accordingly. It moves around, never in the same places. Dirt/sand in the road is the same way...just waiting for the unwary or preoccupied rider. To me rain is the least dangerous of the four.  JMO.

I finally got all the logistics figured out to bring both bikes.  I worked half a day yesterday figuring out wheel chock positions and installing additional anchor points.  Ruthy doesn't feel comfortable towing the trailer thru the city highways and having to cross thru San Antonio is something I know she doesn't want to do and plus we're all together in the truck.  Dogs and all.  

Now...........to figure everything else out!!!

Hmmm, I thought that was one of the old problems we were rid of.....LOL. You two Hardley riders...( oops! I of course meant Harley riders, I guess my spelling has gotten me in trouble again) will just have to square off in a game of "chicken" to see which bike is the toughest!
