New to Dallas and Looking to start rideing
« on: August 31, 2007, 12:43:29 PM »

Hello all,
My friend b-rad and I are new to this site. Unlike him I know what I am going to do as pertains to purchaseing a bike. On the other hand though I haven't got the first clue as to where to find good bikes for sale, and a dealer that won't try to bed me over. I understand and don't mind paying for quality but there are some brands and dealers that like to up the price because of the name painted on it. I also don't know where dealers are like I said i just moved here. Any thoughts on where to look and find people that are informed and helpful for a first time rider and buyer? Thanks for haveing a place as cool as this to get out of working and meet people that have the same interests as me. O0

What part of Dallas?
I've seen some good prices at a couple of dealers. DFW Honda (Grapevine)and Honda Town Ft. Worth) and even at Full Boar Cycles (Hurst)
Good luck,
Monte

Might check Maxim here in Allen and There's the Honda shop over in Rockwall, too.  I am not familiar with that shop, though.

Welcome to the group.  Now's the time to buy!   O0

I purchased one bike from Plano Honda, they did good by me and have a great service department.  They are at 75 and Parker Rd.

Not anymore.  I believe Plano Honda is now known as Maxim Honda located between Bethany and McDermott on 75 in Allen.

I stay in Rowlett and the one in Rockwall is pitiful.  You can't even get anyone to talk to you.  The one in Allen is great.  That's where I go when I'm looking for accessories and stuff.  they have a pretty big inventory.

Here are 2 bikes that are for sale by owner.  Both are in great condition and well maintained.
