Kyle wanted me to practice on his SRX first now I'm thinking of waiting until I take the class just to be on the safe side.

I took the advanced course courtesy of US ARMY last year. That was a workout!

I have no experience so its something that I need to do.  I wouldn't be comfortable if I didn't.
When you're done you'll ride better than a lot of guys/gals that have been riding for years.  I've seen that first hand with a couple of friends.

Liane, two bits of advice,
1) drink a Gatorade before you ever leave you house in the morning and take some with you
2) prepare to use your checkbook when you are done cuz you are going to want to ride O0

Good Luck!

Just go into the class with an open mind and really listen to the instructors.

I have been riding off and on for 37 years. I took the Basic MFS 5 yrs ago and was so scared I hated it but once I actually started riding full time again I rememebered everything they taught us. Several years later I took the Advanced Course and really liked it. The instructor tells you what he wants you to do, then you go out and do it. You will realise how much you can do on your motorcycle and still stay up.

I also took the Road Caption Course and the Group Riding Course. All of the courses were very imformative.

Another way to enjoy and learn how to control your motorcycle is buy the Ride Like a Pro IV DVD. I have it. I have practiced what was taught on the DVD and it really makes turning in tight circles easy.

GOOD LUCK and I am proud to Welcome another Woman in the Wonderful World of Motorcycle Riding......

Some have real Bad Habits. Not a good thing in this time of Motorcycle Riding. Too many Cagers out there to do some of the weird things the Oldies do.....

I took the course at Boss Hoss 2 years ago. It was fun, but a little hot. I took it in August.....

I heard one of the instructors at Boss Hoss went down on his Wing after hitting some gravel exiting 255.  The bike flipped up in the air and landed on him.
