No way to respond to this post. Don't have a clue what you are looking for, in the way of sound. Many variations of the same tune.

I bought my '06 1300R a couple of months ago, and immediately put V&H Big Shots on it. I had heard the Cobra straights (waaaay too loud for me), a couple of the mods (Clayton, et al -- and they were good), but I wanted a deep-throated growl that would awaken a dozing trucker at 50 yards.

I'm looking for a deeper rumble, but not so loud that it gets to you on long rides

you should be able to hear the sounds of different pipes if you go to a Meet and Greet on a Wednesday.

I have never missed one ;) ;) or maybe it's I have never made one :P :P

My wifes 1300 has V&H Big shots. Hers is louder than my 1800 with V&H Big Shots I think they have different baffels.
One afternoon I told her she was riding in blind spots and she told me she might be in there blind spot but she was not in there deft spot!

I have the Roadhouse slip on's. They look like stock mufflers.
Good mellow rumble, loud when you get down.

Before you do anything, you may want to consider the Clayton mod. It can give the sound you're wanting, without going to the expense of new pipes and rejetting.

Just a thought...

The screaming eagle pipes sound very nice, any harley dealer will have them in stock and if you get them installed by them you get the 2 year warranty...   O0

I have a 1300R with the HK DD slip ons, that have a nice rumble to them and are not too loud.  East install and less $$$ than a full exhaust system.
