I lost my best friend, my cat Crosby, to breast cancer. I held her as she went to sleep for the last time. She got me through my divorce, and I owe her forever for that. I understand your pain. We will all be together someday. I am real sorry, bro...

I've had to put 4 of my best friends to sleep over the years...it definitely leaves a big hole in your heart.  I am so sorry to hear that you had to experience it.

Sorry for your loss! One of mine passed away last January. I have another that I believe is getting close to passing. I don't want to have to make the same decision you had to make, but if he starts to suffer I will. I pray that he will pass peacefully in his sleep. Our pets are a part of the family and we love them dearly! As previously stated, we will all be together again.

I'ts hard having to put down your best friend. The best way to get over the loss is to go to the pound and find a new friend who needs a good home. I now have 9 best friends. And they all love me. Sorry for your loss!

I always think a pup's passing is clearing a way for the next rescue pup to have a good home.

:agree: got two dogs , both were rescued, one from a shelter and one wandered onto the pourch 11 or 12 years ago, still can't find his owner. I'm a big believer in rescuing dogs. You'll love them just as much as a pure bred. Paying hundreds of dollars for a dog from a breeder is just, well , I don't get it. My mutts are the smartest dogs I've ever been around. sorry for your loss, rescue a new best friend.

Sorry for your loss, mine is like one of my kids, hurts like hell when we lose a friend/ family member like that. This is my little buddy..... his name is Big Daddy. He thinks he is a Rottweiler.
