Anyone thinking of the bunburner (1500 mile) run, know that you have to have at least a saddlesore (1000 mile) certificate under your belt to get a bunburner.

Hey all you iron butt Riders.  I have a Mustang seat with back rest for the driver and the passenger pad.  It looks like new, new it cost $695, will let it go for $325.  Let me hear from y'all where you will have a rested Back Side .  It fits a C model 02-04.

Thanks Paperpeddler

I just picked up my new '06 in Arizona last Saturday and drove the 1,100 miles back to Texas in 22 hours. Would have been 2 hours less but hit monster rain Labor Day afternoon the last 200 miles outside of Houston. This was also breaking in the bike so did many speed and gearing changes and acceleration runs up some of the hills and decel down. Stock seat but only half paralyzed when I got home. I have a technique that I have used for 20 years. I alternate 3 seating positions; normal, legs stretched out front on highway bars and then legs tucked behind using the passenger pegs and body leaning forward on tank. Keeps the blood flowing between gas stops. Maybe not everyone can reach the passenger pegs though, I have long legs.

I just picked my 1800C up in St. Louis  8/26 left the guys house @ 10:30 AM and got home @ 2:AM and put 1029 miles on it.
Would have been shorter if the damn GPS was not set to skip toll roads, but glad I did it.  Took me a toal of 10 fill ups and 15.5 hrs.
Good thing it had a windshield and mustang seats with a backrest to boot......  O0
That sure did save my back, but the heat was horrible... :D :D
Good luck on your trips.

I've heard of it before, my old football coach always said me and the rest of the O-Line were members...

Rode another 400 miles or so yesterday as a warm up I guess.  Had a passenger the whole time too.  And what have I learned?  I need a new seat, that stock one is killing me on long trips.  Either that or I'll invest in a pair of those SaddleGel shorts.  But I hear those are worthless.
