I'll help cool things a bit,We have a ice layer covered in light snow.It is now the warmest it has been in 3 days around 35deg, this morning it was 7deg. My chance of rideing the bike is none for a while, it will get warmer for the next day or two and may clear the roads just in time for the weekend artic blast thats coming. I am thrilled to not own any livestock at the moment. 2 dogs that live outside is plenty to worry about. A few miles north of here they are still sorting cattle that just walked over fences on snow drifts.The only bare places in my drive is where the car and truck were setting when it came down.

3 deg, this morning when I fired up the truck.

I have a house dog. The outside dogs have a house, I have made the mistake of doing just that, many times. never again. I check on them and they both have boxes on the back porch that is glassed in for when it gets bad enough. so far they are doing fine. The back porch is my hangout place, I can smoke watch TV and light a fire in the wood burner. My outside dogs hate being put in the box. Below 0 They go in the box on the porch. Other wise they stay outside.These are not house dogs.

Snow falling again, not that cold, but expecting from 6 to 12 inches. With another storm coming Monday. As of right now it is just covering the ground. Expecting snow for the next 36 hrs.

As of now 10 to 12 inches on the ground.had the wind come up there would be no way out, from my house. As it is I can bust through with a 4wd and get to work in the morning. I was checking out the road for my wife today , and told her to lay off, in the short cruse around the neighborhood to check out the roads I pulled two teenagers from the ditch in different cars. She could have made it to work in my truck, but the snow was still falling. and had the wind kicked up even a little she would have never made it home. She wouldn't clear the drive way in her car. I have spent many snow storms trapped at work for days. Not a thing I would wish on anyone.
