Minnesota has got one:

http://www.facebook.com/pages/MN-VTX-Riders-and-Friends/122799661067433?ref=search&sid=54102421.739756678..1

but that's where jmdaniel is from, so I don't know if we really need to be following their example...   :stickpoke:

 :c

The folks up there are pretty cool, actually. They used to be led by a guy with the screen name of StPaulVTX, and let me clue ya, he could ride EVERYONE here into the weeds. They would make rides from the Twin Cities to Kansas City, for lunch, and ride back!  :notworthy: He and his teenage (at the time) daughter rode back home from Albuquerque. How many days? ONE!!!  :ohwow: Ed, (his real name), is a great guy, and knows, or knows of, some of the mileage masters on the main board, to include one of our very own, Duc. When you look at the miles these guys put in, then realize that they are snowed in half the year, it puts it in a new perspective, and also probably explains it a bit better. We take for granted good riding weather here; up there, they can't. I remember a guy stating that he had only missed one day on the bike in the previous winter, and that wasn't because it was -10, (it was), but because it was too icy. Ya see, at that temp, salt doesn't work. It melts the ice, but the water turns right back into ice.  :ohwow:

In the spirit of full disclosure, I finally quit riding with these guys, and it was because of the miles. The description of their Saturday rides was often limited to: "first, we are going to go East, then we will go North, then we will go West, then we will go South. Of course, all of that is subject to change." Most of these rides would last well into the dark hours, and I like to do a lot of different things on my weekend days, not just ride all freakin' day. But hats off to them.

Back on topic.   :c

Edited to add:

Just looked at that FB site, and here is Ed:

His wife, Cindy:

and his daughter, Alex. That is the bike she rode back from Albuquerque on, in one day.

And here I am, second from the left, on a sunny day in Shell Lake, Wisconsin:

As you can see, my handsome mug isn't just a new occurrence!  ;)

Ok now, back on topic!
