VTX 1300 vs. VTX 1800

The 1300 does not have fuel injection. How is throttle response in first and second gear? How does the clutch feel?
 On the other hand the 1800 does have fuel injection. How does throttle response compair between these. Does the clutch feel the same. I know the 1300 turns better and handles better at low speeds and does feel lighter.
 Trying to deceide which is best for me. I wont be going on the long rides. but I will need something for a day ride. Do most of you find that you need to change
 your seat?

The new 1300's are fuel injected...although not branded "VTX" they may as well be.

(I have a 1300 and love it, by the way, and I am 6'3", 270lbs. And +1 on the stock seat sucking. I have a Corbin Young Guns on mine....)

I have a 1300 but frequently ride my son's 1800.  If I had a choice I would go on and go with an 1800.  They both are great bikes, but I like the more powerful 1800 and also it rides smoother in my opinion.  My 1300 has more vibration at higher rpms.

Guess I shouldn't play around with buttons - but at least I know what that X does now.  Too much BS to repeat it all from memory - long and short - I have really enjoyed my 1800 and have had no problems handling it - high or low speeds. 

The stock seat does need some attention.  First thing I changed.

I have both. I like the 1800 better than the 1300 for the same reasons the others were saying and yes, the stock seats suck... I went with the Ultimate Big Boy seat and it is great.  Warren
