Well we didn't make it to the Big Steak Place in Summervillle. Damn.........I wanted a steak.
It was sprinkling. We were cruising to a Red Light on 2920 and Rhodes Rd.. We were in bike formation. Sheri is on the right side and me in the left. IAll I saw was Sheri went down. She was sliding into my lane. I applied my brakes to keep from running over her and must have applied the front brakes to hard. They locked. I started fish tailing and the Black Dragon went to the right and I went to the left................. :-\ :'( :-\ :'(
I have 2 bummed bruised knees and a bruised hip..... :-\ :-\ :-\ I'll let Sheri tell you what hurts on her body.
Want to Thank Dar, Neo and Brian for being there to help us.
-
I'm gald you guys are okay.
-
Joined a new club today, the riders down club. Ouch!
Pride hurt most :) then shoulder, neck and hip. First thing I said when I got up is I will never ride with out a helmet, I hit my head on the pavement hard 3 times. Thank God for the helmet. We weren't going that fast, it could happen to anyone. If you ride with out gear I'd reconsider the helmet, my jacket did even have a snag on it, my helmet has several marks and shield is messed up.
2 margaritas later............. the sun is out if it weren't for my shoulder I'd be on my way to Somerville. :D
Thanks guys, thanks God.
Sherri

Ladies, I am very glad to hear that y'all are ok and that they were there to help too.

OUCH! I'm glad you guys are okay! And glad there were people there to help! Any damage to the bikes? Don't forget to get new helmets!
Melanie

Sorry to hear this gals. Hope there wasn't too much damage to the bikes or the bodies. I will ditto the helmet comment. Don't risk re-using a helmet that has contacted the ground. Once the shell is compromised, so is your safety.
-
Thanks for the well wishes. I am going to be more sore tomorrow from what I feel now..
I think my LeatherLykes saved my bike. It split when it hit the road. Saddlebag Stuff everywhere....... ::)
I think I will always second think riding on an almost wet road.....Too much grime, oil and radiator fluid on the road. Rain makes it slick as soap.... >:(
-
Ladies, glad to hear you are ok.
-
What a bummer!!! So very sorry for the mishap. :'( :'( :'(
Very very glad ya'll OK. Let us know tomorrow how you feel. Hope you are off tomorrow for a few hours of recovery and many hours of soaking in a hot bath.
We all know who to thank for the relative lack of injury. Let's all bow our head now.
Hang in there!!! Here's something to make the bo-bo all better. :-* :-* :-*

Just read the latest news, thank God you two are ok. I hope everyone else that was riding with yall are ok also.
-
I'm glad ya'll are okay, too. The bikes can be repaired easier than you can. Heal yourselves up quickly!
-
My Fat Knees are Purple and Blue............... >:( :'( >:( :'(
-
What matters most is that you all walked away. I hope the healing process isn't too uncomfortable and I hope that you all got checked out if anything is real sore. Sherri, if you took three good shots in the helmet you might still should let a doctor check out your neck and upper back.
-
I was riding tailgun. I saw the whole thing. Sherri did about four cartwheels, the last three are when she hit her head. She launched so high nothing ever touched the ground during the first loop. It was an incredible sight to see.

My neck didn't hurt until today, I have pretty good range of motion though. I had these types of injuries before, there is not alot you can do for them. I figured I'd see how I felt tomorrow before I go to the Dr. I've been doing hot tub and muscle relaxers.

Hey......How are you feeling?
My right forearm and left knee is a beautiful Blue and Purple color......... :o :o
-
Hey, Jason just told me about you two. What exactly happened? I'm glad to hear you guys are OK and able to walk away. Definitely take advantage of the hot bath soaks to help relax your muscles. Jason has good massage hands that are available if you need 'em, and he still charges the same rate as for his computer services, but it's worth it! :D
I absolutely agree with the helmet, law or no law. After seeing some of the sport bike stunts gone bad, I sometimes have a hard time not wearing my Joe Rocket. Take care you guys!! 8)
-
HOLY $@%% !
I am glad everyone made it out with small injuries. Jason is correct for once :) the bikes can be fixed.
Glad you are OK O0
-
Hope you both heal quickly!
-
I just saw this. I'm glad everyone's in one piece. Hope the recovery is going well.
-
First time on the board since last Thursday. Glad you two are only bruised. I too, know the benefit of a helmet. After ending up face down in gravel I will not wear anything but a full face.

I'm glad everyone was able to walk or at least limp away. I hope your bruises heal quickly without too much discomfort.
-
Sherri,
I've already talked with Marigold by phone but haven't yet expressed to you my sadness about the accident or my relief that both you and she apparently escaped serious injury. You're right . . . it could happen to anyone. Hopefully, it will prompt us all to be more cautious on the road when it has just started to rain, and it will further demonstrate to everyone the value of protective riding gear. Hope that you and your bike are both back up and running very soon!
