« on: January 27, 2007, 08:02:18 PM »

couldn't get away from work today to ride so i'm gonna try for tomorrow. gonna be cool but sunny, highs in the mid to low 50's. maybe a late morning to early afternoon ride? maybe take a few back roads to bluebonnet cafe for lunch and a few more back roads back home. open to ideas. any takers? let me know.

I would not mind getting out for a while Sunday.  I am working tonight but I could maybe get out of the house by around 1:00pm...need a nap.  Do you know of a place more in the middle of us off 281?  Maybe some of the guys from this area (Canyon Lake) would like to head that way (JERRY) and we could meet.  Just a thought.

I will check back tomorrow to see what you all came up with!

Jerry:

Post up what time you guys are going to meet at Daisy's and I'll try to make it.  Probably can not do a real ride tomorrow but will take the River Road out and back and that should satisfy (at least for a little while) the need to get out.

I think I'm gonna head over for the PGR ride instead. Feel a little better about that. Ride safe!  O0

It looks like Daisy Duke's at 11:30 and a short ride back to my cabin and then maybe a short 70 mile circle around Wimberly country.

See Ya There O0

See you guys there at 11:30  :)

Will most likely just "do lunch" but if I can make some progress this morning I'll tag along for the ride.

So, how was the ride?

Good company, good food and warm and cozy inside Daisys but cold and gray outside. My original plan was to take the River Road out but I was running a little late so I went out 306.  I arrived at Daisys at 11:30 AM to find the place completely empty. (and I was worrying about a lunch time rush, NOT)  About 5 minutes later Jerry and Wade arrive and we have the whole place to ourselves.  We lingered over lunch as nobody was in a big hurry to go back outside.  Finally we finish up and take the River Road back, ride through Gruene and then back out Hunter Road. When we come to 306 I split off to the I-35 south and back to the salt mine.  Jerry and Wade continued out Hunter Road on the way to San Marcos and then parts unknown. You'll have to get the rest of the adventure from them.  All total I was out about 2.5 hours.
