West Texas/ Panhandle - Ride out to Rolling Thunder
« on: February 19, 2008, 08:08:12 PM »

Let's make a little run for Rolling Thunder...  I got a group from work that is interested in heading out there, we just need to decide on a day, and I didn't want to ride out there w/o meeting up with some Texas X Riders...  We will probably take our ride out from Midland to Big Spring and then North either to Post or Fluvanna depending on how times and routes get worked out here.  Let me know what you guys think...

edit* Benham, I updated it with Sunday 2-24-08, and i must have reset the count to 0.  If anyone is voting, please note the order of the options, first 3 are Saturdays, last 3 are Sundays...

Thanks!

In case you are wondering where it is...

Yea me and my buddies are talking about Cloudcroft. I went there for a marriage retreat back in September. Like 30 degrees cooler up there. When it starts warming up I am gonna ride there. Even if its by myself. Keep in touch. I would love to ride with some of you guys.

So here's the plan:  Sunday, 2-24-08 - Rolling Thunder...  I'll post it as a meet and greet...

Also, benham has a ride we can do next weekend, we'll get that posted up later...

Now wait a minuet, something with this post ain't right. You went to Cloudcroft last September on a marriage retreat and it was 30 degrees colder and now you and the guys are planing a ride or your riding by yourself? Guess it didn't work out.   :-\ :-\ :-\

As much as I love to ride with the wife and we have had some good rides and secluded rides(if ya know what I mean), we have a 3 month old baby now and a lot harder for us to get out together. The loving wife I have lets me ride with the guys or by myself still because she knows motorcycles are big in my life. O0

We have some great neighbors though and they are gonna take the kids including the baby for BBT. She will ride with me there. Soon enough our oldest can babysit everyone and we can get out more. ;)

As for the Marriage retreat, staying in a 150 dollar a night hotel and awesome food paid for all by the military was awesome and a good get-away. Especially the smell of trees and no sand again. We are from Chicago and stationed at Fort Bliss so we hate it here naturally. Planning on retiring in San Antonio though. O0

Hope that explains it.
