Texas AppleSauce storm
« on: April 11, 2011, 11:53:52 PM »

On the way home from BBT I had the wife take a pic of a AppleSauce storm on the horizon just as the sun was going down. The wind was in the 40ish range and just starting to pickup all the dust generated by millions of cattle in feed lots in Hereford 40mi away. The smell was there but not bad by the standards of my west Texas nose. Then it occurred to me I was witness to a unreported weather event that is very common here. It's just not news here. Even though we are breathing cow AppleSauce.
The weather man wont say AppleSauce, because the cattle industry ran out of bumper stickers calming Opra is the only mad cow in Texas.
