Houston Meet & Greet 12/17 - Compadre's Texas Cafe - North

Here are Jim's directions as the location does not map properly.

Compadre's Texas Cafe

Take Robinson Road east from IH-45 to the dead end at Hanna Road, about a half mile. Turn right (south) on Hanna. Go about 200 yards; a small new strip center will pop out on your right. If you aren't ready you won't see it until it's too late. Compadre's is right there

I will be missing this one also.  My wife is working late tonight so I have the Grandkids tonight.

They are a little young to be on the bike right now.  :)

Just a note to those planning on going...I noticed that they close at 8pm...so get there on time and eat fast.  Considering the short time there and the bad weather (means driving truck) Wayne and I are not going to go to this one.

I doubt there'll be a huge turnout for this one (I just told Cora we'll be there tonight, and she said that every time we have one at Compadre's the weather sucks), but you don't have to rush your meal. She won't throw us out at the crack of eight. We probably don't want to keep her TOO late though -- she still carries a badge and a gun :o.

Lastnight 11:30pm they were shutting down freeway over passes on the south east side of Houston... they had shutdown 610 to 226, making me take 45 South.  I drove over the 45s/beltway 8 exchange, before they closed it, doing 10 miles an hour and the rear end of the truck was breaking loose... it was a short puckering moment.  All the way down the beltway to deerpark was not fun.

I had snow 5" deep in my yard lastnight at midnight.
