WOW

Dang, I have never heard of someone having so many nagging problems on a trip like this...  especially on a Honda.  Glad he's getting it all sorted out.  He is going to have great campfire stories for the years to come.

In his determination to get home today, he probably would have made it except for the long line at the border crossing yesterday.  In spite of the problems he had, I'm sure he'll tell you that he'll still keep the Valkyrie until it's no longer repairable.  In thinking about the problems he's had, I think I'm glad that I wasn't able to go (work).  But on the other hand, I wish that I had been able to go because I'm sure that it was the trip of a lifetime.

Oh, he was in Billings, Montana last night and is heading for Raton, New Mexico today.

I think you could call Jack's trip the "Uiltimate Hard Butt Ride"
Damn, I know from experence sometimes when your out there, 1000's of miles from home, had some hard luck sometimes, your body's tired, your brain is wooped, all you want to see is your driveway and I'll bet he's in the same boat right now. The good part is when he rolls in, throws down the kick stand, turns off the key, he'll sit there a few moments and think how much fun that was O0 With all his troubles set aside, I know he had fun and will remember the good times forever.!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW What a ride!!!!!!!!!

PS Thanks Angie for all the updates and the info you put out there O0

Wow, were you reading his mind??!!  I just got off the phone with him.  He made it to Raton and is worn out, like you said.  He was pulling in to a rest area to get rest for a while and said he dropped his bike.  (I probably wasn't supposed to tell that part, but it's a reminder to us all to pull off when you get tired so something bad doesn't happen).  Luckily he had good pavement and was able to pick the bike on his own.  I told him that I knew he was ready to get home, but to play it safe and get a lot of rest tonight before heading out tomorrow.  I told him last leg was only about 570 miles and said that was a piece of cake.
I believe that he will do just like you said and say what a great trip it was in spite of his troubles.

He/we will post pics in a few days.

Thanks for asking about him.

Just a quick note.  Jack made it home about 8:00.

Hooter, it was just as you said.....he was really glad to be home and in spite of the troubles it was a great trip.

He reiterated (sp?) that I had permission to shoot him if he ever suggested taking a long trip like that again by himself.

Oh, no rain on the way home til he hit Ft. Worth and then got hailed and rained on.
