Hey yall new to this board , hang out on VTXOA alot but thought i would give you guys a shout. My name is Dave i live in Weatherford (just west of Fort Worth) I ride an 03 1800C that is currently under construction as always... Wheels left for Polish along with some other stuff, Engine ready for paint this weekend, cut down my shocks and re-installed them after a year of riding hardtail with a 9.5" strut. really liked the look and the ride wasn't too terrible but like the look of the shocks now that they are cut down better. Anyway just rambling a bit but wanted to say hey and oneday i will be up and running so maybe i can meet up with you guys somewhere.

Welcome. I think you'll like the site...it is generally a much mellower forum that the vtxoa, although I hear they "tamed down" the vtxoa board of late....Too bad you can't make the bluebonnet, but , there's always next year.

Welcome to the board, Dave.  I'd love to see some pics of your bike as a hardtail.  Keep your eyes posted on the DFW thread.  We are always farting around somewhere on the weekends.

included some liks in my sig line...I made the struts out of chain weldedn together...made it interesting but you can see how low that thing is.

Man just in case anyone was wondering Dave Kicks Cranberries! He totally saved me a few weeks off my bike by letting me borrow his extra stock seat until my corbin makes it in. He didnt know me from adam and met me to deliver the seat.

I just looked at the pics. The chain struts are defenantly interesting. Iron butt comes to mind. 

Gives me an idea for some handlebars!

I cut down my shocks, hopefully everything goes back together well....if all works out i will have no need for the infamous chain struts if anybody wants them they are yours for the taking... but you have to come and get them. free.
