Here is the latest on the schedule of events, I will post it when I get it.

Michael, The schedule of events will not be finished until the week before the rally, so I can't really send you any info as of yet.  The event starts on Thursday, but the stunt events are mostly on Friday and Saturday I think.  The gates open at 7am on Thursday, and the vendors will be arriving all day and setting up, if they don't make it in on Wednesday.  There are other things happening in town that weekend, so I think you'll find plenty to do.  All bike events will take place on the grounds and the White Buffalo Days stuff will be happening downtown on the square and at the airport.  Have everyone meet at the rally, you'll be able to find your gang, we have two or three camping areas The Zoo (for the rowdys) The library (for the more dossile) and The Desert (for the loners) so meet up there or at the Beer Garden, you won't have trouble finding each other (gated area).  Hope to see ya at the rally. What would be better camping or motel?

HI Kebs, thats really up to you....but what type of camping? If your talking about RV hook ups, there are a one or two places available. If your thinking about getting a hotel, you may want to try and book something now.

I have tried all weekend there is nothing available at any of the 5 places listed. They told me I might want to try one of the surrounding cities one is 22 miles away and the other is 35 miles.  I am not sure of what cities are around there, but I am still looking.  Oh and I will be riding up Thursday since it is supposed to be about 10 hrs for me to get there.  I just wasn't sure if it was like a place where you can set up a tent and camp or not.

There is camping available on the coliseum grounds...  That's how I plan on spending the weekend...

I'll be in the campground called The ZOO!

The closest hotel available is in Colorado City 22 miles away.  How is the weather for camping?

 Just wonder the quickest way to get there google shows up toward Ft Woerth and hit I 20 but looks to be longer to me ?

   Just checked both ways the other through Austin its a bit shorter but actualklly longer drive time but not by much so if I must trailer grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr will go up through Austin since I will be on the road late gottra watch for the little deer.

(58 days out of 60 in historical record)  It's definitely Texas, so you never know until we get closer...

That may be your quickest route, at least most of it, being the Interstates, but I'd cut off earlier and head to 20, or you can draw a straight line to Brownwood, TX and figure out what roads to take to there, and then to Abilene and over to Snyder.

No promise involved, but I will try to make it. Back in 73 or so Grand Funk came to Amarillo, My friends and I drove up from Hedley, to find it was sold out. If i can bring my old bro I will, his health is not good now. If I can come alone, I will. If I can't get loose at all I'm going to be unhappy.
