Days are dwindling down..   Just hope the weather cooperates!!!!

I was planning on leaving Friday morning, probably around 10:00 a.m., but I could leave a earlier or even a bit later to accomodate others.  I just want to get there early enough to meet up with my buddy in Austin, to go through registration, and to rendevous with any X-riders that would like to join together for the parade.

We decided we are going to take the scenic route up to Austin, going thru Bastrop State park, if anyone wants to ride up with us on Thursday, the more the merrier.   We have 4 maybe 5 bikes as of right now.

Where are y'all meeting up at and around what time will you be leaving?  I get off of work at 8am and the guys I am going with will already be packed.  We would like to join you if possible for the trip there.

Absolutely, the more the merrier.  I think we are going to try and head out around 9-9:30 or so, so the traffic can die down some.
We are meeting TxPopeye somewhere, off of FM 529 and Barker Cypress.  He lives in the Spring area, so I will have him post up something as well.

There is a good size group building for the ride up to the ROT.   View the 1st page on the bottom with a posting from TXPopeye.   He has planned a nice scenic route up to Austin for us and anyone who wants to join. We are meeting him in the Cypress area for those who live up in that area. I look forward to a great ROT this year!

The route I have planed will have us meet at 529 and barker Cypres we will then take 529 to 159 to 237 to 2981 to post oak to 153 to PC1 which will take us through Buescher and Bastrop state parks then hop on to 71 in to austin.

For those who have never been out through bastrop and Buescher state parks the ride is nice I chose this route based on curves and back roads. This route is 147 miles from The meet point at 529 and barker cypress to our hotel right outside of Austin.

Should be a great ride I have in the past rode 529 to the park but never have taken 159 237 2981 or 153 anyone ever rode those before.

If you are coming up 288 to downtown, our group can meet up with you somewhere off of I10, from there, we can head out to I-10 and barker cypress to head to meet Txpopeye.

I would like to, but I am not so sure about the timing.  I get off of work at 8am by 45 and 1960 and now I live in New Caney, so I am not sure how quick we can get to the 529 and Barker Cypress location.  Even taking my bike to work that night I leave in the middle of traffic.  I will have to get back to you.
