rubber grommet for side cover
« on: February 28, 2007, 07:56:51 PM »

does any body out there maybe have an extra rubber grommet for the left side cover? it's the little round one that looks like an "O" ring. i don't know how  the hell but i lost mine when i took off the side cover. i looked for that son of a Buck Rogers for about two hours and still diddn't find it. i know i can order another one but i just don't want to wait a week just to put my side cover on.

thanx in advance, justin O0

I bought two at Rockwall Honda. They keep them in stock. They push out when you reinstall the side cover. I lost one also. Put a little lubrcation oil on the new one and it will stay. I have an extra. Don't know where you are located though.

I always put a little spit on the rubber grommets before I put the side covers back on. Once it dries, covers are locked in, not slippery as with wd 40. Makes the "prongs" slip in easy and without pushing the grommet through.
