OUTLAW DAVE RANCH RIDE 2007

The OUTLAW DAVE RANCH RIDE 2007 which will take place SATURDAY NOV 3rd has been using the lonestar rally as a destination for their charity ride since the rally's inception.
The ride's hard costs are covered annually by it's sponsors so that the $20 that each rider donates is able to go completely to the stevens and pruett ranch for children and animals which has operated for nearly thirty years down on 288 near pearland.
The ranch operates with at risk youth living on the property where they help run a working ranch that is home to rescued animals. Animals that have been abused and neglected are now nursed back to health in a wonderfully cathartic process by the children.
Every year motorcycle clubs and independents gather at the behest of local radio legend OUTLAW DAVE to participate in a police escorted ride from STUBB's CYCLES @ loop 610 wearing their commemorative BARNEY's OUTLAW DAVE RANCH RIDE t-shirts as I-45 is shut down to allow the thousand plus caravan to proceed to galveston isle.
Morning entertainment including a lavish breakfast feast, live music from SACRED GROUND, a biker babe auction, a blessing of the bikes by the SNAKE PRIEST himself, JIM PRUETT  make the starting point a festive affair. registration begins at 8:00am
lone star rally parking passes and information is available the morning of the ride at STUBB's, who open early to accommodate riders' needs.
Each year our various destinations at the lone star rally have often been challenging i.e. the strand, the rock dock, the balinese room, the seawall, but this year through arrangements made by the lone star rally with the city of galveston the OUTLAW DAVE RANCH RIDE '07 will have a finishing point that will allow us all to dismount at the end of the ride! A community center parking lot that has recently been repaved is secured for our ending point where we will be able to all pull in, park and receive a few words of thanks and praise. More lone star rally parking passes and information will be available at this time before all are released to find their way to the various entertainment destinations to be found on galveston isle as part of the lone star rally 2007.

   I rode in it last year and it was a disorganized mess with all the construction around Webster on I45 they did no alternate planning.We made it through without incident but by the time we got to Galveston it was everyone for hisself The year before it was pretty a good ride and alot of bikes.If I ride it again will not be untill they are finished with the rode work on 45 but from what I hear after this they are moving down to get the exit at 96 below League City straight.It looks like the biggest part of 45 work is done so might not be the mess it was last year......will take a wait and see attitude weather I make the run or not.

  It looks like they took the hint from last year and a lot more organized so might have to do the ride again

We need to decide where to meet. Sometimes they allow you to wait for your group at the entrance. That is what they did last year. No telling what the rules are this year. I live in Clear Lake.

I know that registration begins at 8 a.m. and if I remember right last year they left arounnd 10 or 11 a.m.
