Just wondering with the way the heat is and all ,does anyone (or groups) have any meet & eat or rides for august? I am just trying to keep in touch... Thanks

a few weeks back we did a fried pie run.  the heat was rough. 

Like i told my aunt who lives on Mt hood in Oregon.  Yall have a few months during the winter where you "Hunker down" and dont go outside that much, we have a few months here in the summer where we "Hunker down", and try to not go outside anytime after noon.....

Oh so true Isorg, this heat has been terrible. Sometimes I just get up and go, As long as I am moving I kinda bear it . But in the end it still takes its toll.. Stay cool and ride safe...

Lately, when I ride, I will leave early in the morning and then throughout the day try to hang out in cool places, then once the sun starts setting, I start heading my way back home.  Sometimes it's late, but man how nice it feels to be rolling once the sun is gone.

I hear you on that Mat.  Took a nice night run the other night along the Devil's Backbone up to Blanco then hung out at WB's Saloon and Cycles, then left there to head back to home with a side stop at the Tilted Kilt.

My riding buddy almost got skunked ( I was leading so went around it's head on the left as it was crossing the road and he had to dodge to right past the tail).  Other than that uneventful on a clear starry sky ride.

Just talked to another member DougVTX today and seems we going to meet up on Wed. Aug.17 th at the Mcdonalds in Jaspar at the intersection at Hwy 190 and Hwy 96 between 8am. and 9am to meet and do some riding. If anyone else wants to join you are more than welcome. Feel free to come and join in....

Yes Sir, a big group ride sounds good ,I am ready and I guess so are a few others, A Lot of things have got to fall in place. All you can do is put it out there and see what happens. Better temps. and cooler weather coming up.... Ride Safe..
