Reed Valves
« on: January 11, 2008, 10:30:29 PM »

Hi all  :) new at the site and at this stuff, I have a 2004 1800, and the popping just wont quit, I received the covers when I bought the bike and need a little help. I SUCESSFULY REMOVED THE HOSES, THE REED VALVE COVERS AND REED VALVES, dang caps key....anyway I just need to know what else to do. Do I need to unplug or jump anything, and do I plug the inlet to the back of the air filter where the hose went?

Any help would be great
Thanks one_eye_doc@yahoo.com

Check your exhaust header pipes where they bolt to the heads. Sometimes those will vibrate loose a little and suck air.
