Larry was mentioning Gruene. With this heat the way it's been, a ride around the river doesn't sound to bad. Maybe head up to Wimberly as well.

Lots of folks that join don't list their location and it would be nice to find some local X riders closer by. Is there some way when they sign up that this would be a required info? It's not like giving your address, DL#, or any private info. I live basically between Dallas-Ft.Worth and Austin aera on 35W and would love to find more riders say in the same local. I know their out there somewhere closer by, just can't identify'em.

It's been an on-going thing. I considered putting up a "sticky" message, but reconsidered. Some people register to just check out the site, get some information, or just to see what's going on. I can only assume they don't complete their profile because they think they're just passing through. After they peruse the board, get into a few conversations, then they realize what a great bunch of folks we are, and they know no one else could be having this much fun. Then they forget to go back and fill in their profile.

If you what to take a great ride over here from Alvin, go Alt 90. That's the way I go and come from Galveston. It's a great ride, very scenic, and very little traffic. If you can find a way around Sugarland, it'll shorten you're ride time.(stoplights) You'll end up in Seguin, and we could meet you there and take you on the backroads to Gruene.
