Title: Treasury Report
Post by: Rod 1942 on September 27, 2013, 08:13:33 AM
Members,  I've ask Paul to let us know where we stand financially. I for one, have no idea what our financial position is. As soon as we find out, I will be sending a check in to help out, Gumbo has agreed to do the same. Nothing is for free, and if we want this club to continue, WE MUST SUPPORT IT.  I think it's time to stand up and be counted.

As of right now there is only $48.00 in the box. The last BBT wiped out what funds were left. Paul needs to post his address so that any contributions for the board can go to him. Now he just needs to place people in the other board of director positions. There needs to be at least enough money to cover the cost of the website by January.

Last year it was $356.90. Someone may want to check with Brock and he can give you more info on what the cost will be.

I'll get in contact with Brock and post all those finding.  Thanks for posting what we have.  We'll work it from here and try to generate enough to at least cover the website.  Shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for posting it where everyone can see..................

If we donate then we should know how and what the funds are being used for. Just my opinion.

Thanks

And it will be used.  I plan on having reports periodically to report what the funds look like and expenses associated with the website.

I will be posting next week in a separate thread and create a new Sticky for present and future donations.  Before I do that I want to make sure I have all the numbers on cost to run this forum.  You all will know.

I have been a lurker for the most part, but I have seen two other VTX forums become gobbled up by corporate interests. Something about that just irks me.

I will help out here as well.

Let me know where to send some money and any other ways I can assist.

I do have experience with hosting providers and I have used for many years to host my websites.  Pricing basically comes down to bandwidth and storage needs.  However, migrating is a task that needs to be planned out if that was an interest.  I pay $5/month for my site.   That's the lowest usage requirement.

At the cafe, I was a sponsor.  I did so because of the value of the site and info.  Is that another option.

The funds have always been used to pay for the two events that are scheduled each year, along with the expense of the forum.
